For speeder & planned industrial development, U.P. Govt. has set up industrial Development Authorities viz. NOIDA, SIDA, & BIDA to provide total-infrastructure for setting up industrial units.

New Okhla Industrial Development Authority ( NOIDA)

New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA), a model industrial area on the outskirts of Delhi  was created to decongest the national capital where a large number of small scale industries were operating in non-confirming areas. NOIDA provides them the proper environment for running the unit subsequently, to provide small scale units the support for running the units and large scale industries, phase II of NOIDA was located 15 Kms, away at the periphery of NOIDA towards Ghaziabad which is close proximity to NOIDA Export Processing Zone.

Greater NOIDA

Encouraged by the success of NOIDA as a model industrial area, U.P.Govt has created Greater NOlDA Authority (GNA) with a view to plan and develop entire area in an integrated manner providing . necessary social and physical infrastructure with modern amenities required for the encouragement of technical, business, industrial, scientific and creative pursuits. In the first year of its development about 6,000 acres of land is being developed and in the second phase, an additional area of about 5,000 areas would be developed for which long term perspective plan is being involved.

NOIDA Export Processing Zone (NEPZ)

NOIDA Export Processing Zone (NEPZ) established in 1985 in Uttar Pradesh, a few kilometers from the national-capital is the first such zone in the northern region and first national inland export processing zone in the  country- It is spurring development not only in the state of Uttar Pradesh but also in the nearby states as it  exports a wide range of items like Computer software, Engineering goods, Textile garments,  Pharmaceuticals /Chemical products, Leather products, Gems and Jewellery, Woollen knitwear, Ayurvedic medicines. Video  cassettes etc.

Facilities in the NEPZ -include digital electronic telephone exchange, on site power substation with assured  power supply, constructed ready plots of various size on-site customs clearances and are house with clearing  and forwarding facilities besides two nationalised banks' and post office.

Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority ( GIDA )

Industrial township/ in the pattern of NOlDA 'and Greater NOIDA is being set up for rapid Industrial development of eastern Uttar Pradesh The township is situated at 9 Kms from Gorakhpur City. Township will have an area of 9000  acres.
